Sneak Peek #2 – The “Big Secret”

I let this out a little via my FaceBook page last week. I had a vision to do something amazing for the preschool KidzChurch and that vision caught on and several people made it happen. We use the Lil’ K DVD curriculum from Kidmo and the lesson on the video takes place in a blanket fort. My vision was to have a blanket fort for the children to sit in as they watch the video portion of the lesson.

The children will actually crawl through a tunnel to get into the blanket fort! (alternate access is available) I truly believe that this will enhance the learning experience and encourage the children (and their parents) to bring friends to see the blanket fort and most importantly, to learn about Jesus.

As you walk through then facility Sunday, be sure to stop by and see the blanket fort. It will only be set up and used on Sunday mornings for the Lil’ K lesson.

 

What’s Happening August 21st?

We continue with Summer Slam, in the Elementary KidzChurch, as we look at the Fruit of the Spirit, specifically Goodness!!!

The preschool KidzChurch will be focusing on prayer as they look at Daniel chapter 6.

Can you believe that summer is almost over?!?!?! And with the fall comes the transition to the new facility. I can’t wait to show you what we are planning for the children there!

 

The Weekend Outlook

It looks like winter is here! The snow is beginning to fall and soon we’ll be able to have a “lazy” snow day (after the sidewalks and driveway is cleared).

This weekend is a full weekend of ministry. Awana returns Sunday night and there will be a “BIG” announcement about next week (January 16), so you’ll want to be there to hear it, or check back here on Tuesday.

This week the preschool Kidz Church will begin the series “Show and Tell”. In this series, the children will learn that God is a marvelous Maker! He made our big world and everything in it.

Sunday is day one and two of creation.

The application for the series? The children will look for things God has made and say, “TADA! Look what God made!”

 

The elementary Kidz Church will continue in the BLITZ series which is looking at the ten commandments. Have you helped your child learn the 10 Commandments?

Kidz Church 2011

YES!!! KidzChurch is back!!!!
Even though this Sunday is the first Sunday of the month (and the new year!) and is typically a family service, this Sunday we will be holding KidzChurch.

The Preschool Kidz Church will finish the WOW! series sharing how the angels announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds. The story is taken from Luke 2:8-20.

The children will be encouraged to tell others about Jesus, just as the angels told the shepherds.

The “remember” verse is John 3:16

For the elementary aged children, all I have to say is, “ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?” As the NFL season winds down and the playoffs are held, we will be looking at the Series “BLITZ” (Bold Living In The Zone). The series takes a look at the 10 commandments and will take us right up to the Big Game.

So join us in the Zone as we look at God’s game plan for life, because you’ve got to know God’s way, to go God’s way.

 

 

Current Lil’ K Preschool Lessons

In this series, Lil’K and Kai lead us in PRAYER, and prayer is talking to God (“Hellooooo GOD”). We’ll learn that we can talk to God anytime, anywhere, for anything and that God likes it when we pray.

It’s time to TALK to God and have fun learning all about prayer along with Lil’K .

Nov. 15th – I can talk to God anytime
Daniel prays three times a day

Nov. 22nd – I can say “thank you” to God
